A WALK FOR EDUCATION

A Walk For Education Orlando is an event organized by the National Society of Black Engineers, UCF Chapter. Its purpose is to promote diversity in STEM, encourage anyone interested in STEM to pursue STEM, and to offer resources to those pursuing STEM.

This year, A Walk For Education will consist of three parts: A Stem Fair, a Ceremony, and a STEM Activity session!

The STEM Fair will have tabling UCF-STEM organizations, such as National Society of Black Engineers and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, & companies, such as Jacobs & Stantec. We want to offer advice and guidence to K-12 students that want to pursue STEM.

The ceremony will be a breif summary of the event, with the topic of pursuing your potential!

The activity session will be filled with fun STEM activities for children of all ages. Students will be divided by grade. Parent or guardian should be in vicinity for student to participate in activities.

Mission

Join NSBE- UCF to increase the awareness of the opportunities available through education particularly in the STEM fields aiming towards African Americans and to ignite a desire for minority students to join STEM and know about the resources available to them to help further their education.

Support A Walk For Education

NSBE-UCF will be awarding a scholarship to one senior during this event to assist with the right tools needed to continue pursuing their education. Please support our senior scholarship initiative by using our cash app for donations.
